Cloud Architecture
Cloud computing architecture and systems — the shared infrastructure model for deploying, managing and offering services.
Held in Haikou, China, from 8–10 June 2018, ICCCS brought together researchers, academicians, engineers, industrial professionals, students and government officials working across cloud architecture, security evaluation, data privacy and trusted computing.
The International Conference on Cloud Computing and Security provides a forum for researchers and professionals engaged in cloud computing and information security. Its scope spans cloud computing architecture and systems, security evaluation and benchmarks based on cloud, data security, privacy, and trusted computing.
ICCCS 2018, the fourth edition of the International Conference on Cloud Computing and Security, was held in Haikou, China from 8 to 10 June 2018. The gathering welcomed researchers, academicians, engineers, industrial professionals, students and government officials, creating a broad forum for exchanging ideas on the fast-moving intersection of cloud infrastructure and information protection.
Cloud computing continues to reshape how organizations store, process and deliver data, while the attack surface expands alongside it. The conference addressed cloud architecture, security evaluation, data privacy and trusted computing, giving participants a structured setting in which to compare methods, models and management practices that protect services running in shared, virtualized environments.
Presentation of peer-reviewed papers formed the academic core of the programme. Contributions spanned cryptography and encryption, authentication, privacy-preserving techniques, data hiding and cybersecurity more broadly, alongside work on sensor networks, the Internet of Things, wireless and mobile communications, forensic methods and multimedia data handling.
Attention was also given to the supporting infrastructure that modern applications rely on. Sessions covered networks and networking, access control, intrusion and anomaly detection, systems and systems modeling, neural computation, and the continued growth of embedded and sensor-based services, including the enabling role of big data analytics and software tools for security assessment.
Beyond the technical sessions, the event highlighted practical concerns for practitioners and policymakers. Discussions touched on securing cloud-hosted applications, evaluating the trustworthiness of platforms and devices, and managing the balance between openness and protection in connected systems, themes of persistent interest to both academic and industrial communities.
The conference offered a venue for cross-disciplinary exchange, encouraging dialogue between researchers, engineers and public-sector officials. Such interaction helps translate theoretical advances in authentication, encryption and privacy into deployable guidance for organizations operating cloud services at scale.
Recognized scholarly outlets and conference series provided a route to publication for outstanding work. Selected papers appeared in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science, while the broader ecosystem of journals and indexed publications offered additional channels through which participants could disseminate their findings to a wider readership.
Conference organisation included an extensive committee structure, invited and distinguished speakers, optional technical tours, and a rich supporting programme of workshops and social activities, giving delegates a full and varied agenda across the three-day period in Haikou.
As a milestone in a continuing conference series, ICCCS 2018 built on the history of earlier editions by consolidating research, industry insight and policy perspective in one forum. Its stated objective — providing a platform for researchers, academicians and engineers to share results and shape future work in cloud computing and security — remains central to the series' ongoing evolution.
